Hi, I’m Sarah-Lou and I run Mini First Aid classes throughout Tyne & Wear. As a qualified Midwife, first aid trainer, and mummy to a 1 year old little girl, I’ve dealt with numerous emergencies and know just how important first aid skills are as a parent. It’s a frightening experience when your little one is poorly or injured, however our friendly and relaxed classes aim to give you the skills and confidence to deal with a first aid situation.
Attended the course today with Stephanie & found it to be very informative for me with having a 16week old baby.. you explained everything so well & easy to understand & made me feel much more confident that I would know what to do if anything did happen. Thank you so much & good luck for your future courses xx
I cannot recommend Mini First Aid enough. Kate ran a private class for me and my 11 year old daughter in the comfort of our own home, which was perfect especially as my babies are due any day now. My daughter and I feel much more confident in knowing what to do in a range of emergency situations and I also got some extra twin tips from Kate as a fellow twin Mum! It's such an important life skill that every parent and carer should have so I would urge you to book a Mini First Aid course today.
The Mini First Aid Class (filmed for ITVBe) was a fantastic class, both Arg and I found it a really good and informative session
It was a pleasure meeting Kate and Jacky from Mini First Aid and being taught what to do in case of an emergency. Learning CPR and what to do when a child is choking is invaluable. Obviously, I hope I never had to use the things I learned in today’s class, but horrible things happen and knowing these techniques can really make a huge difference. The class was fun and accessible given the seriousness of the topic. I would highly recommend everyone doing it.
Myself and my mother in law went along to a Mini First Aid course this morning and I would highly reccomend it. I took my 7 month old daughter with me and she wasn’t a burdon at all in fact she was the oppisite and we were made very welcome. When it comes to learning first aid I find the thought of it daunting but Stephanie explained it in a way that was very easy to understand and remember. It’s made me a lot more comfortable to know that if I’m ever in a situation where I need to use it I will be a little more prepared. Thank you Stephanie you’re doing a great job.
There are a gazillion things I never seem to get around to doing (fixing the broken blind in our bedroom, getting some photos printed of ‘the baby’ who is almost two but still doesn’t exist on our walls, pinning down the coffee date I’ve been promising my neglected friend via WhatsApp for at least 6 months…) BUT this morning I finally got my arse in gear and ticked off something from my ‘Really Must Do’ list by attending a First Aid class designed specifically for parents, grandparents and carers of babies and young children. It took just two hours out of my morning and covered a whole host of stuff including what to do if a child is choking, how to deal with burns/breaks/bleeding and the basics of life-saving CPR for kids.
"We are so glad we have done a Mini First Aid class. We enjoyed the class, found it really useful and feel so much more prepared in the build up to having our baby.”
